Strength Training
It is highly recommended that an exercise program includes some form of strength training. This type of training can have a positive effect on your quality of life, and maintain your musculature that can, without proper stimulation, diminish over the years. Strength training is also important for weight control and bodyshape, leading to an increase in the basal metabolic rate and therefore burning more calories during rest and sleep. Training sessions may include the use of weights, kettlebells, resistance bands and medicine balls, in addition to using bodyweight exercises.
Core Training
Core stability training involves exercises that activate the deep trunk muscles with the aim of improving posture and functional strength. Balance training is also used to develop co-ordination and will help with injury prevention from sprains and muscle strains.
